Why doesn't he just move up? yeah just fight 3 weight classes above where he is at and put on like 23lbs. well, because many of these guys are full grown fucking men and maybe they can't get much bigger while being an effective fighter due to their natural frame. Even if they could, it is unbelievably hard to put on a significant amount of muscle that one wouldn't have naturally.

Should be a pretty simple concept for everyone, its the reason why some of these guys are fighters and maybe not football players or Olympic powerlifters. They are little dwarfs who could only be successful athletes in combat sports where smaller guys have a chance of making something of themselves.

Its either that or being a horse jockey.

I dont think LarryX really wanted Lara to move up. His point is that people put things on Floyd but not other fighters. Sure Floyd has a belt because he did it, just like Lara would if he did it. Why arent you aknowledging that Floyd is 150 on fight night. Thats not even close to the Jr MW limit, let alone gaining weight post weigh-in. Lara would be bigger at MW than Floyd would be at 154. That was his point

No doubt. Putting on weight itself is not hard, putting on the right type of weight though is. And then like you mentioned, being effective with it and allowing your body to get used to it is a whole another process.

HOWEVER, when it comes to 1 weight class above or so, it isn't much to ask from most fighters. Most fighters anyways are overstaying their welcome at their current classes just to have the upper edge power wise and come in at fight night almost two classes above their contract weight.

I think they expect Floyd to fight middleweights who would drain themselves to make the 154 junior middleweight limit, since he's the defending junior middleweight champion. Similar to how Dawson challenged Ward at 168.

He can't be expected to go up that high isn't fair but if he wants to propose some CW and they want that payday so bad that they want to suffer down, why not?

styles make fights, Demp...i really think Broner's tendency to lean straight back to avoid punches might trouble GGG
