Definitely. The style matchup is going to be hell for one of these guys.

I mentioned this early in the thread, but I think that this article is actually a few weeks old - I'm sure I've sen it before. The current discussion seems to be Adonis fighting Fonfara in March or April, possibly as part of an HBO 3 fight deal including (probably) Kovalev at the end of the year.

For sure he's gonna call out everyone.

Like I said before, this guy is a David Lemieux... Winning fights against no speed, no strategy punching bags waiting to get hit.

Once he feels Stevenson's power you'll see a new Kovalev backing up!

His defense and boxing IQ are weak and he'll pay the price against Superman!
Campillo, White, Cleverly and Sillakh - none of these fit the description you've provided. All are quick - Sillakh and Cleverly particularly so - Sillakh and White are both heavy hitters with big KO records - Campillo is (or at least was) one of the best strategists and technical boxers in the division, and Sillakh one of the most skilled technicians out there.

Campillo was better than Cloud, Cleverly better than Bellew, Sillakh not as proven but stylistically not dissimilar to Dawson and White different but better than Boone.

His defense is perhaps somewhat neglected as a price he's willing to pay for relentless offense (which tends to reduce his opponents to near zero punch connects) but I've seen nothing at all to indicate a 'weak boxing IQ' - what grounds would you base such a statement upon - do you just see a pub brawler who comes out swinging hard and just gets lucky time after time?

I see a guy who's mobile, great at controlling range and very good at timing his opponents shots - admittedly he's not been in with as powerful and quick a counterpuncher as Stevenson, but that's cos there aren't any right now.

up until the knockdown and ko vs bellew i was not all that impressed with stevenson. Bellew despite barely throwing anything managed to bloody the nose of stevenson in the few exchanges they had. I think kovalev is a far superior boxer than bellew and obviously so much more powerful and this will be a fight that he should win easily unless he gets careless ( which he never seems to be) kovalev in 6 is my prediction if the fight ever happens.

Bums who looked ok when the devision was deprived of any talent!

Go watch the fights and tell me if any of those guys had either talent or a strategy. Unprepared bums without a clue.

If those guys are all bums, what are the fighters Stevenson fought who lost to those bums?
