I think the fight stinks. How can Cotto be a worthy challenger for the middleweight world title when he lost two one sided fights in a row to welterweight Mayweather and Jr. middleweight Trout and he never beat a middleweight in his life? Martinez is living his dream of fighting a smaller fighter who has very little chance of beating him and making lots of money. Who ever wins the Martinez-Cotto fight will absolutely not fight the uncrowned middleweight champ, GGG. I would much rather see Martinez do his job as champion and fight GGG. I think GGG would KO Martinez and Cotto would not be the least bit interested in fighting GGG for the middleweight title.

        Winner gets Canelo.

I take that back. Cotto gets Canelo regardless.

Cotto's not a worthy challenger. This is a tuneup fight for Martinez after a year off recovering from his injuries. It's also a big money fight. And Golovkin is not the uncrowned champion, he's a contender. Nothing more. Besides, Martinez's promoter and manager have been explicit in saying that Martinez intends to fight Golovkin. Though if Cotto wins, no way he fights Golovkin.

Martinez would retire if he loses, wins then Rubio

Cotto wins, Mayweather 2 with a CW or Canelo at 154.

If Canelo loses to Angulo he should retire, no way he gets a shot at Cotto. It's one thing to lose to Sergio Martinez at 160... losing to Angulo who is considered a tune up to the almighty greatness that is ginger is far, far worse.

Next would be a death sentence with GGG.

IMO if Cotto wins then he's vindicated every loss (and messy split decision) as being drained. Even the ones where it doesn't make any sense. Even those.

Martinez wins and he just beat a fat Miguel Cotto coming off a win against a guy who made Wolak look like he got beat with a shovel.

Doubt it. GGG will still be ducked no matter who wins the fight.
