    This isn't a full explanation by any means, but rather than having one world champion, the WBA have a "Super" champion and a "Regular" champion.

    Froch and Quigg are regular world champions, Rigondeaux and Ward are the Super (or actual) world champions.

    Froch is also the IBF champ so he is a world champion but Quigg is not.
