His whole career shows ever increasing instability in his attitudes and pronouncements. He's made a shambles of his career ever since he made that mess-up with Top Rnk. He cost Curtis Jackson (and Phoney Phloyd) $1.25 mill to buy out his contract from Top Rank after which Phoney let Jackson down and reneged on his money share.
I suppose that when he was in Cuba, the government controlled boxing department wouldn't allow any nonsense from their fighters. The American freedom of expression and action have unbalanced him.

He is not talking complete nonsense. When an athlete from a socialist country defects to a western capitalist country, he often has no clue how things work in professional sports, and gets himself into a mess as a consequence. There were soccer players who got themselves suspended because they didn't know the rules of the transfer market, business ethics etc.
