Olympic gold medal winner Yuriorkis Gamboa is not paying any attention to the recent comments from Manny Pacquiao's advisor, Michael Koncz. In a recent interview with BoxingScene.com's Ronnie Nathanielsz, Koncz named Gamboa as a possible option for Pacquiao's return on April 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Gamboa's representative, Willie Suarez, claims the mention of Pacquiao was a diversion to take away the attention of Gamboa calling out WBO super featherweight champion Mikey Garcia.

Wow so instead of saying, hey we're willing to take the fight with Pacquiao lets make that happen, he's saying Top Rank is protecting their fighter Garcia?

Why would he be trying to ruffle top ranks feathers when he knows he needs them for a big fight?

He just knows TR would never give him Pacquiao. Why would they! Besides, if Arum really wanted Garcia to fight Gamboa, the fight would have been made or at least there wouldn't be any complications. Instead Arum is making all kinds of dumb excuses to prevent the fight from happening. He had no problem setting Rios (someone much bigger than Gamboa) to fight Gamboa but when the playing field is just about even Arum doesn't want to risk having his future cash cow in Mikey Garcia take a loss.
