as a champion Bute faced not 1 top ten guy ! WTF is that about, he has faced : Edison Miranda / Brian Mcgee / Fulgencio Zuniga / Librado Andrade x2 / William Joppy / Jesse Brinkley / Jean Paul Mendy / Glen Johnson / Alehandro Berrio - and a couple more fighters, but dam, not one of these cats look like a mandatory (all voluntary defenses ?) Sad, sad, sad.. Bute should have mopped the floor with Pascal, but no heart / confidence / nor any real experience if you are fighting the list above back to back to back with out even a remote threat ? this is why GBP better up the level of competition for Canelo or he will face the same future - Angulo is no walkover and will be a live dog against Canelo .

Both fighters are a joke, two clowns trying to imitate fighters/boxers. All past light-heavyweights must be laughing and shaking their heads, HBO I will cancel my subscription if you try to put Pascal or Bute on again. Shame on HBO, Pascal and Bute.

Not only Bute doesn't have a good chin, his defence is also very average. He's basically a good offensive fighter WHEN he throws, which he didn't do last night. When you don't trust your chin and defence, it's hard to fight with confidence. Added to this the fact that Bute doesn't have a "fighter" mentality. So, it's no surprised he fought like this, Froch inserted this seed of doubt in his mind that he can't overcome. I think the simplest way to say this is that Froch basically exposed him, not only to the other fighters but to himself too.

give Bute credit at least for being honest about his awful performance in his post-fight comments -- he looked like he just really didn't want to be in the ring until the 12th round when a gassed Pascal basically went to the ropes said "hit me all you want" -- neither guy is top tier but Bute really needs to start thinking about getting a day job....

His confidence is shot after the Froch fight. I'm also not sure he was that good to begin with. Pascal has that awkward style and quick right hand that would probably always trouble Bute even at his best.

Explanation's name is Carl Froch... and ultimate can crushing preceding this one.
If Bute had taken part in that super six tournament he'd been exposed much earlier.

              The dude is a joke.

Of course he has no explanation, he's better suited to train cross fit or something. If Bute had a bit of perspective he should've used his cash cow leverage with Interbox and get a real trainer in his corner. But that ship sailed a long time ago.

Genadi Golovkin, Rios, Alvarez etc. is the same type of overrated lowskilled can crushing brawlers.

That is exactly how I feel like, I just don't know what to say. It is a mental thing with Bute, he is a complicated individual with a complex mind. He didn't respond until something clicked before the 12th and even then he backed away after throwing punches... I just don't know what is up with him.

Easy to see, he lacked the confidence to apply himself, he fought extremely scared. On top of that Bute was never that good to begin with, all he has is that left uppercut, his right hand is useless and he doesn't know how to get leverage on his straight left.
