ESPN made a documentary that said that about 70% of NFL players go broke after they retire. Im sure the figure is about the same for other sports including boxing.

I totally disagree with Holmes,a journalist from ESPN or SI actually went with Floyd to the bank, and he seen Floyd`s bank slip.He said Floyd has over 123 million dollars in the bank, and that was before the Canelo fight.Floyd has investments in real estate and a promotional company, and he also has people with PHD`s and Master degrees around him.I think he`ll be fine.

With his ******** addiction, Floyd will be back in the ring three years after he "retires". He would be selling his "0" like an aging **** star finally sellin the ****** in a gang**** for chump change.

This is probably the biggest BS comment that would come out of someone like Karceno's ******. Floyd is dumb as **** managing his money. In the ring, he is great but managing money. Please...

The money won't be coming in like it is now once he retires. With his spending habits and the leeches around him, it's perfectly understandable to believe this will happen. I don't particularly care for Floyd, but I certainly don't want him to end up broke. Unfortunately, things like this are very likely for boxers.

Yup. The thing is about money is consistent CASH FLOW is way more important than having a large chunk of money in the bank. The reason atheletes go broke so quick is they dont realize how quick millions of dollars can disappear when your cash flow stops.

Floyd's current lifestyle wouldnt be sustainable without his current cash flow of 30-40 mil per fight. Once he retires, he will have to slow down. If he kept up the same spending without a huge income stream, he goes broke in 10 years or less.

Floyd has been around the industry long enough to know the downfall of many rich fighters. If he's not watching his nest eggs and leaving that up to "trusted" people, its quite possible he could end up in the poor house.

If his investment advisers aren't looking out for his best interest, his assets could dwindle down to nothing.

He needs to learn from the wealthy who've learned to keep their wealth protected and providing fro future generations.

At some point in life, for whatever reasons, many folks who experience riches believe "you can't take it with you anyway" when they pass on. So they spend their gains without a care and only live for the moment.

                      .
