Bernard Hopkins vs. Antonio Tarver at 175: Who wins?

Who would win this fight? I think TArver is prefect for Hopkins because Tarver is very passive and that is what Hopkins needs. He needs slow rounds where he can pick his shots. But Tarver is physically alot bigger than Hopkins so who knows what would happen.

This is a curious one. I think we'd know what to expect from Hopkins, but it might depend on which Tarver comes to fight. An aggressive Tarver throwing punches in bunches and pressuring the older man should help him to win a decision; I went for that in the poll because I feel that Hopkins is far too negative to allow himself to be caught cold as Jones was, he will not engage with Tarver for any length of time. There is the chance that Tarver fights beneath himself (supposedly) and makes it a very ponderous distance fight with Hopkins, yet again, having a shout at the decision and furthering the myth that he still belongs in the big money fights despite his recent performances.

I went with Hopkins although I worry about Bernard at that weight. I think it'd play out like Hopkins-Taylor and Tarver-Jones 3 and be very tentative and low action. I think Hopkins would eek out a decision but I think this fight while intriguing would be brutal. It worked for Shane Mosley but jumping two classes is dicey
