Andrzej Fonfara has notified the IBF that he won't take part in a final eliminator against Dmitry Sukhotsky, because a deal had been reached to face WBC light heavyweight Adonis Stevenson (23-1, 20KOs), according to a report by Canadian outlet RDS.

In 27 professional fights, Fonfara has maintained a record of 25 wins, 15 by knockout, and only two defeats. RDS states that an official announcement could take place in the coming days.

Ok, so I'm guessing a Froch fight is pretty much out of the picture. Because after Fonfara he'll likely face winner of Pascal-Bute, then he'll face Kovalev.

Fonfara is a good, solid opponent. Has defensively flaws, but is good offensively and is a combination fighter.

Expect a knockout.

Fonfara's pencil-thin neck is not going to serve him well against Stevenson. I think "the best defense is offense" needs to be his battle cry if he is to stand a chance.

No way is Froch going to fight @ 175Lb. He wants a return with Ward, while the World wants a return with Groves @ 168. I believe this is the Cobra last year.
