You are delusional. I bet you picked him to lose against everyone and when he signed on to fight Lucas you probably jizzer yourself...I know how Mexicans and Puerto Ricans are with their rivalry. .being a fan of the sport, STOP hating..He beat the one guy everyone thought was still undefeated the boogie man of boxing...Put a Mexican flag on him and he is an ATG at 140..Comment

Bc boxing is a business first and Mikey is being groomed to be the next big star for TR. They are looking to set him up with a Pacquiao fight in the future and Uchiyama could potentially be a threat to that (I still think Mikey wins, he's the real deal). Also an unnecessary threat, Uchiyama has zero name recognition in the US outside of a small group of boxing fans. Fairly big risk for virtually no reward. This is actually a better way of lookin at things in the current climate than P4P, simply because there are so few real champions. I disagree with Wlad being number one but he is one of the few, true divisional champions.
Martinez, Garcia and Ward are the others.
It's nice that true boxing fans are starting to recognise guys who are non american an in the far smaller divisions.
I'd love to see Uchiyama v Mikey, why isn't it being spoken about???Comment

The guy beat Judah, back then, still a top 10 140 pounder and then beat Lucas, who ppl said he would never fight/was too strong/ had never lost in reality/ would destroy Garcia in, and I quote "dos rounds" and all this crap yet Garcia whooped him from the 5/6th round on wards. Name me a single better fighter at 140?
Ye, but I reckon Uchiyamas team (dunno who his promoters are) should bring him to the US, he had a great style and power, he'd be a star. That would make a fight with Mikey almost unavoidable.Bc boxing is a business first and Mikey is being groomed to be the next big star for TR. They are looking to set him up with a Pacquiao fight in the future and Uchiyama could potentially be a threat to that (I still think Mikey wins, he's the real deal). Never before in the history of the sport have legit world champions not fought as often as they haven't in the last 5-6 years. 2013 was a good step forward but I want more!Comment

Sorry, Cliff. You generally support your arguments well, but not today. No way, nowhere in any reality can Wlad Klitschko be seriously considered the "best champion" in boxing. It's really quite offensive that any so-called boxing expert has the nerve to even suggest it. It's as though you believe that boxing fans can't see what is in plain sight before their eyes; that they are so ****** as to be convinced that what they see as **** fighting is actually mastercraft. The HW division makes a mockery of the sport every time one of its silly titles are contended for on TV. The division is absolutely devoid of talent, and has been for years, so how can a HW champion in 2014, even an exciting one, be the best champ in boxing?? Ridiculous article.Last edited by NachoMan; 01-15-2014, 11:03 PM.Comment

As much as I appreciate Klitschko's craft that fight was atrocious. He probably could have KO'd Povetkin had he not resorted to holding so much.
Great read though.Comment

How can you leave Bradley of a list like this? In 2013, he defended his title against Ruslan Provodnikov and Juan Manuel Marquez, putting on one classic battle and another good action fight. Regardless of how he obtained the title, you gotta give the guy props.Comment
