    It won't add or take away from his reputation. He should have retired after the Pac fight but since the Bradley loss, he can do what he wants. That picture perfect career ending is already out the window but he can fight no names, win/lose it would barely affect his legacy IMO.

        He's reached that stage where he can do what he likes. A couple of extra paychecks and a showreel KO of Manny Pacquiao means he has probably already acquired a legendary status in Mexico.

          Marquez was already done since his fight against Floyd. He is just NOT a welterweight...not saying Floyd is the cause of Marquez being done, just pointing out that Marquez has been past it for a while and is competing at a weight class on which he clearly does not belong.

          It would make no difference if he fought a couple of bums for his last fights or not, as his legacy has already been sealed. Nothing will ever take away his achievements.
