Ticket sales continue move at a brisk and satisfying pace for Top Rank’s January 25 boxing card at Madison Square Garden’s The Theatre in New York City. The show is topped by unbeaten 130 lb. titlist Mikey Garcia, who defends versus Juan Carlos Burgos in a bout to air live on HBO.

“Sales are very strong,” Top Rank VP Carl Moretti confirmed. “The public interest comes from a combination of solid main event, undercard attractions such as Seanie Monaghan & (unbeaten Puerto Rican prospect Felix) Verdejo, plus the Polish heavyweight (Artur) Szpilka in the co-feature.”

Top Rank needs to stop selling Mikey Garcia to the New York audience.This is the second time they are doing this. The first time was with Orlando Salido. Mexican fighters like Mikey Garcia, Orlando Salido and Juan Carlos Burgos will not sell in New York. This fight should be taking place in California. The ticket sales would have long been sold out by now if only it did.

there will be a good crowd on hand,so what if it's in new York,whats wrong with that,i think it's a good idea to bring champions to different parts of the country so fans can see them,some fans complain that promoters don't promote their fighters and when they do they don't like it either,i think some fans just hate it when a fighter they don't cheer for is successful while the ones they do bring no fans and fans even leave the arena early,those are what I call haters
