Was never a fan, but he earned my respect for showing he has heart. Not everyone would have taken an ass whooping like that, ask Victor Ortiz.

Watching Broner get handed his ass by Maidana was the boxing highlight of the year.

I hope he comes back just as brash and cocky, only to get cut down to size once again. Who could get bored of watching that?

Out of ring antics during regular life or leading up to a fight is one thing.. but his humiliation of a worthy opponent post fight in Malignaggi lost me as a fan. That still counts to me.. how they enter the ring and how they leave it.. if they conduct themselves with honor.. etc....

their overall fight night performance. And his is pisspoor. Cant be a fan of the kid.

I hope Maidana knocks out Broner in the rematch.

I was a fan and I still am. So he lost, fighters step and and lose all the time. If anything he proved his toughness even more to me. Sure he needs work, but he proved his heart and toughness.

I am also a huge fan of Maidana, even more so than Broner, but I take nothing from Broner. He proved his heart. Now he just needs to get dedicated. The immediate rematch though is a bad mistake, because he will not have enough time to make the fight more competitive. He will still have bad habits that take time to break and Maidana will be able to exploit the exact same holes.

If Broner would have given up or found a way out of the beating, I would have lost all faith in him. He did take his pounding like a man though from a monster puncher and tried till the end of 12. That is all you can ask from a fighter. The rest is just fine tuning and time that he needs.

Nah he was just not half as good as he thought he was and more obnoxious than he was good which was clear to see. There was nothing ever to be a fan of in reality we know why he won at the lighter divisions, but I cannot say I never would have been a fan just because but he just isn't all that good to make me be one. Never was and probably never will be but who knows maybe a reality check was in order a man has to know his limitations so he can try to surpass them. Either that or he keeps being the same idiot who thinks he is the second coming of boxing jesus and will keep getting his booty violated.
