After watching him get pummeled in consecutive fights by Winky Wright, I thought to myself "Mosley is done." I felt a little bad, as I have been rooting against him for a very long time. I cheered my heart out when Forrest brutally assaulted him twice for the Welterweight title.
Now I watch Cory Spinks and Zab Judah as they chase boxing fans out of the sport with their boring, monotonous fights and forgettable press conferences. I thought all was lost at 147 when Cintron-Margarito was put in jeopardy until hearing of the returns to Welterweight by the 2 most exciting welterweights of the last 5 years, Oscar De La Hoya and Sugar Shane Mosley.
With Spinks and Judah, the 2 most recognizable faces at 147, fighting for the Welterweight title, it would be good to see true superstars at the welterweight level. With De La Hoya returning later this year to welterweight and Shane Mosley looking to return by the Spring, things are looking optomistic for a change.
How would De La Hoya and Mosley match up with the top welterweights in the world:
1. Cory Spinks
2. Zab Judah
3. Antonio Margarito
4. Kermit Cintron
