MANCHESTER - American heavyweight hitman Eddie Chambers has joined Team Fury Promotions and will be trained by the renowned Peter Fury.

The Philadelphian bruiser turned professional in 2000 at just 18 and has amassed a record of 40 fights with 36 wins and only four defeats.

At 31 he has been in with some of the leading names in the heavyweight division including IBF, WBA and WBO world champion Wladimir Klitschko, as well as going the distance with Alexander Povetkin and Tomasz Adamek.

He now joins the stable of rising heavyweight sensations Tyson Fury and Hughie Fury, who have made huge strides in recent times under the tutelage of Peter Fury.

Chambers now an advocate of Peter Fury and his training techniques. Just shows he good he actually is. Also, the sparring sessions will bring them all on leaps and bounds. Hughies going to get a beasting...... great learning curve!!

Chambers was in camp for the Fury - Haye training camp, along with Steve Cunningham. Chambers barely laid a glove on Hughie by the way!

Good move for Eddie and team Fury. One thing is for sure, Peter will not allow any cutting corners, so hopefully Eddie can get himself back on track.

Very unconventional. We've had US cruisers and heavies in Germany. But UK... seems like a new one to me.

I've always admired Chambers.he matched Povetkin when they fought and feel he is a top ten heavy even now,if he is to be re entered.

He was unlucky against Adamek, would certainly trouble Fury, you've only to look what the cruiser USS did,and the smaller Pakjic.I'm certain Chambers would have schooled Haye too, they're aren't many guys that match him for skill,I suppose it is just the frame that let's him down, but I've never seen an issue with conditioning even though some have questioned his fitness levels.

Chambers vs Solis or Perez has a certain appeal to it,especially Perez as he needs to raise his level of opposition slightly to disprove a few neighsayers.

Good bit of info there... Maybe that's why Peter is so confident in Hughie going for Tysons record. Great camp for any heavyweight to be in

                Jump Ship

Fast Eddie is pretty much done in the US. He wants to try and grab some coins in the UK.
