Good fight, Kirkland would come right at him. Hard to predict the outcome as he's not a small guy.

I think it would make a very interesting fight. I always wanted to see Floyd against a big come forward volume puncher. TBH I think that's the only style that has any chance of beating him. I think Margarito would've shocked a lot of people if that fight happened.

I think it is a mismatch. Mayweather is way to skillful for Kirkland. Kirkland would be hitting mostly air and Mayweather would find Kirkland hard to miss. The Japanese fighter who's name I forget how to spell showed you don't have to be a big puncher to put Kirkland down. Just hit him with clean punches when he rushes in wide open. Mayweather would do this. There is a huge gap in talent between Mayweather and Kirkland. I don't think Kirkland is near as good as Canelo and he can't take a punch near as good as Canelo. I think Mayweather would knock him out in 8 rounds or less.

while it would be fun, kirkland has done absolutely nothing to merit a fight with the best paid fighter on the planet.

Kirkland's a bit funny like that he looked vulnerable early against Tapia too, and Angulo (though obvs he put Angulo down too) - but once he gets out of the 1st he seems able to take some monster shots.

Interesting kinda fight for me - undoubtedly Floyd massively outskills Kirkland, but I can't help feeling that if Kirkland could keep up the volume and pressure over 12, something would be getting through.

I'd have to assume FMJ UD, but I do think Kirklands style would make life a bit hairy for Floyd at moments.

Bolio mentions 'Nelo above - now that's a fight I think would be worth watching - we've got 'Nelo - Angulo coming up and Kirkland basically beat Angulo up.

It would interesting just to see if Mayweather could discourage Kirkland at all. If he can, it would be incredibly one-sided.

No reason to consider this fight, though.

Interesting fight indeed. I wouldn't object to it.
