I still believe this fight will get made. The circumstances are just too perfect for it to make sense at this exact moment (Cotto coming off a fight where he looked spectacular which would make Martinez win stand out more + enough hype to make a high grossing PPV event). I just cannot wait for Martinez to make the mistake of accepting a fight with Golovkin.

The fight can still be made.... even if Cotto fight did go off, he'd want a Canelo and Floyd fight. 1 more HBO fight and you bet HBO will push Golovkin down his throat.

Martinez has 0 leverage period. Cotto will go to Peter Quillin for the belt simple as that. Martinez is just having second thoughts of him beating Cotto. So he wants to cash in a softy in before a potential losing fight.
