The only time he rattled Maidana was with that cheap shot after the bell..... C'mon man Broner was 100% dominated & should of been stopped, but Broner faked that enjury to get his breath back & his buddy Larence Cole kept saving him by giving him break after break. I hope Steve Smogger is the third man for the rematch.

You're right about the referee helping Broner out. Broner is the one Golden Boy had all their hopes on to be the next big star. Maidana was not supposed to beat the **** out of Broner. All that talk about Maidana being in the running for the May Mayweather fight was total BS. Khan was picked by Schaefer and team Mayweather many weeks ago and that's why Khan didn't fight Alexander. They had no faith in Khan beating Alexander.

Broner would need to reinvent himself in one fight to survive the onslaught comes at him at first and that usually doesn't go well. Rarely you see a fighter truly change in just one fight.

The question is, will there be enough Broner left by el Chino for a 3rd beat down?

Broner came into that fight with the wrong mindset. The guy has all the skills to beat Maidana but lacks the discipline to execute them inside of the ring. He showed glimpses of what he's capable of doing every time he committed himself, and he was turning the tides up until the second knockdown. However, the lingering effects of the first knockdown was too much for him to overcome.

If he puts his ego in check and doesn't make the same mistake of underestimating Maidana he should win decisively.
