was a good fight so i wouldn't mind the rematch. you've got to feel sorry for maidana though his promoter is doing nothing for him here. you'd be dumb to take a risky fight just for a quick buck when it won't advance your career any further than the previous fight did.
it would be very smart of bob arum to try and slip in here and prise him away with the offer of a pacquaio or marquez fight.
in fact I'm sure marquez would jump at the chance to secure that welterweight title he wants.Comment

Then he never should have signed the contract. Im tired of fighters complaining about stuff after they sign contracts.
STFU and fight.Comment

I don't blame Maidana for being pissed! There is no need for a rematch Maidana beat the **** outta Broner!
There is no reason, Chino should be able to explore his options and move on.
He shouldn't be forced into an immediate rematch just because Broner is butt hurt he got his a*s kicked!Comment

He'll probably get a better payday against Broner than anyone not named Floyd. Just give him a rematch, whoop his ass again, then on to bigger and better things.Comment

There is no rematch clause. Schaefer already said so. Now he is back tracking so he can try to weasel his way into the rematch so Khan-Floyd happens. Schaeffer has always wanted that fight.
I seriously could care less for a rematch. Broner needs to rebound and I want to see Maidana in against someone else.
I hope Maidana either asks for a butt load of money or rejects it all together.Comment

He makes a great point about rematches though. The Khan fight was close and there was no rematch when there definitely should've been, whilst the Broner fight wasn't in the slightest bit close, and Broner may well get a rematch when there's really no need for one. Maidana KO's Khan in a rematch.Comment
