    Potential Fight: Pacman vs. Larios?

    SH
    Pacquiao vs Larios in Manila?
    By Nick Giongco
    The Mexican media reported on Wednesday that Manny Pacquiao will clash with Oscar Larios sometime in May this year in Manila, Philippines. When ********* contacted Pacquiao over the weekend, the Filipino southpaw revealed that it looks like Larios will be coming over to Manila to test him in a brawl. Pacquiao is priming up for a third fight with Erik Morales in September in Las Vegas following his sensational 10th round kayo of the Mexican grand champion over two weeks ago.

    This would be fireworks, until Pac KO'd Larios.

    Larios is an exciting fighter, but he's a guy that brings the fight to you.

    Bringing the fight to Manny, when he's a 122lber who's moving up, isn't going to be a good idea.

    This is a good opponent for Manny, because it should make for an exciting fight and a good KO.

        This fight is already being discussed at the BoxRec forums as well, somebody there has the inside scoop that this fight is a go. This is what Freddie wants as Pac's get-busy fight before the epic 3rd fight with Morales set around September~October.

        Larios will definately put up a fight, it's gonna be one hell of an entertaining fight, while it lasts.

          PAK-YAO is gonna lunch on another Mexican... Great! Geez I think Pac is getting greedy w/ his food. I mean the boxing world may have a shortage of able and willing "tough Mexican fighters" to go around for everybody to have a feast on.

            Couldn't agree more Bozo.

            The fight I think will be exciting....and I'm a really big fan of Barrios, however;

            Manny will knock him out. Stylistically it's a bad matchup for Barrios being the plodder and like you say weight playing a factor...

            I just don't see how he can deal with the left hand, and maybe the jab perhaps.

            Pacquiao has shown the ability to double the jab as of late....something that is going to be an issue with plodding fighters.
