The Ring said earlier today: no rematch clause in force.

Coming into the first fight Broner said he was focused and trained the hardest he's ever trained.

His problem isn't training it's his fighting style. He's low volume and stationary. He's not going to be able to change that. If he does try something different he will not be as effective as he was before.

I agree. It's too soon. He wants to risk taking a second L in his career within 6 months?

Better fights out there. this is gross.
hopefully they get a better ref that doesn't allow broner 30 warnings for using his forearm.

Self deluded Broner is gonna get knocked out or beat the same,I've seen this story too many times.

bad stylistic match up for broner also he's too small.

the **** he got away with with fighters like demarco and Rees ain't gonna work with big punchers.

Broners so self deluded I bet he will demand a trilogy

I think a rematch could be a really good fight and a chance to see what a motivated Broner is capable of. But I also see why Maidana wouldn't be a huge fan of the idea.

Cant wait to see Maidana bust this clown arse up. Im no Maidana fan but that fight was the best thing I have watched in 2013. Broner wont be able to take those punches for 12 rounds. Im not saying he will; be KO but there will be some KD thats for sure. Broner talking about 15 min of fame of Maidana... this guy been in the spotlight before him, beated the issshh out of him and he still finds a way to talk ish abt him. Cant wait

I am sure he had a great camp. But we saw numerous shots of how he doesn't take care of himself and blows up between fights. Look at pics from the first press conference at the Mayweather/Canelo fight. Broner looked like a college kid that had been up all night and coming off a few weeks of hard drinking. All that partying is poison for your body when your an elite athlete. Plus, its not clear that Broner took this fight that seriously. The guy looks to want the benefits of fame but not really interested in what it takes to be a top fighter. He should sit down with Bernard Hopkins and learn what it means to be dedicated to your craft if he really feels he can be an all time great.

He never had the footwork. He was getting touched by Rees pretty easily. I dont see how things will change. People were trying to say he was some sort of Floyd with nice footwork and a nice shoulder roll but the truth its he reminds me of a Berto. Stationary, poor D but with good speed and some power. If you can take his shot and you got power , anyone can beat Broner. Hes no Floyd and hes no future HOFer trust me. I agree with you that he should sit down with a guy like Hopkins so he explains him how it is to be a champ, but you know what, this guy wont listen. Its a drive you got to have in you. Imagine your a party animal, youre young and you got millions, forget it lol Maidana will give him all he can handle once again.

Really hope there isn't an immediate rematch even though there will be one it seems, would prefer a rematch down the line.

I don't see why anyone would be mad. This is great. Maidana gets a bigger purse and a winnable fight. He won't be anyone's scapegoat.
