  • Should James "Lights Out" Toney go into the IBHOF?

Do you think James Toney after he finally retires should be admitted into the IBHOF?

He was twice caught using PEDs.

(this came up in Dan Rafael's chat today).

just saw this on the chat. I was big toney fan and he was a great, great fighter long before he started juicing. but it is a tough question.

if I had a vote i'd vote him in eventually because I was a big fan.

Toney is like Barry Bonds and Clemens IMO-they were HOF'ers before they started juicing-as opposed to SOsa and McGwire-who only got to HOF level after juicing.

Great comparison to Bonds and Clemens but I'd still decline him into the hof. People die in this sport, and to get that extra advantage that you no longer can naturally give is unfair, IMO.

I love his skillset, trash talking and personality, but I'd say no. This even with him being one of my favorites

How much difference should cheating with PEDs make?

Should we overlook it, or take it into consideration?

He is a HOFer in my book,,,,,

Im not going to defend the drug-cheats, but Toney at the lower weights was a def HOF caliber fighter,,,
His fights with Mccallum are some of the best ever
