  • Comments Thread For: David Price Now Faces Konstantin Airich on Huck-Arslan Bill

Comeback plans are still on target for heavyweight David Price, but will now come with a new opponent. The Brit returns on January 25 in Stuttgart, Germany, facing Hamburg's Konstantin Airich, who replaces previous opponent Evgeny Orlov.

The bout serves as the chief support to the cruiserweight rematch between long reigning titlist Marco Huck and Firat Arslan.

Upped the pace by going straight to Airich who has lost three on the bounce? Airich is on the decline and never was much good against anybody above basement level, but he does have some pop and will at least come out swinging against a guy who's bound to feel tense first time back after the double disaster with Thompson. Knocking out Airich won't prove anything in terms of where Price may yet get to in boxing because the big guy needs to show he can go rounds at a good pace before connections can possibly hold hopes for him long term, but I suppose any win will do for now just to repair the mental damage inflicted by the Tiger. Price has been ridiculed like Audley was but I like watching him. He can **** and his fights are exciting.

Am I the only one who thinks Konstantin Airich sounds like he should be jousting in a medieval tourney?
