I had JLC winning both fights 116-112. In fact....I thought it was close to a blowout.
the first fight was very close and i had floyd winning by one round. if anything, jlc may have deseved a draw or md. there is just no way in hell floyd won the second fight. it was clear that floyd won the majority of rounds without a doubt.
after the two fights, there was no doubt who was the better fight.
now, floyd is more comfortable where he is and would beat jlc in far more convincing fashion if they fought again

that's another ******ed post from Gunstar! folks.
well actully he does have a point. if you see the fight, jlc lands alot of punches on floyd that techniclly shouldnt count as punches. the crew was all over his nuts in that fight.
no disrespect, but you should prob watch the fight before commenting on it

the stats are a little biased, as strange as that sounds. many punches that should not have been counted were. it was a very close fight that i had floyd winning by one round. i could have even seen a draw. the second fight left no doubt however

hbo poll does not hold much clout cause people listen to announcers and let jim lampley and merchant tell them how to think. and people vote the wrong way cause how else would bush still be the president. and that was over 40 million that got that one wrong so 30k in an hbo poll can definitely be wrong. castillo gave mayweather his toughest fight to date so thats nothing to sneeze at.

I don't disagree that Floyd is naturally a more talented fighter than JLC... Hell, he's the most naturally talented fighter on the planet... Still, that old adage of styles make fights and in the first fight, Mayweather fought a style that did not to well against Castillo and, in my opinion, lost the fight... To his credit, in the second fight, he decided to pitter-patter his way to victory and his speed worked.

Castillo did enough to win the first fight IMO and should have skimmed a Draw or MD, but the second fight showed who is more talented. Mayweather clearly won the second.

Castillo is one of my favorite boxers but to say something like he can beat everyone between 135-147 is ridiculous. He has never even fought at 140.

Castillo is an extremely large lightweight that really outgrew 135 about 24 months ago.. He has the power, and chin to compete against anyone between 135-147 and, considering the possible opponents in each weight, and their styles, I believe JLC could beat them all... Cotto, Hatton, Baldomir, and Margarito are not movers... Zab lacks a chin... I like Castillo's chances in those divisions because I think he matches-up very well against the top-dogs of each division.
