Its the timing of Freddie's words that leaves me questioning. All of this stuff is coming out while Manny's having all of these tax issues, it feels like something is coming unraveled or being unmade. Roach is no fool, he knows his reputation will forever be tarnished if its somehow demonstrated he was complicit in the doping of Manny Pacquiao. The prestige he's basked in will evaporate and he will forever be linked with a scandal that was damaging to the sport.

It seems every year, Floyd Mayweather gets validated. Now, why would anyone be a fan of these cheaters? It was so obvious and I remember back in 2009, first round of negotiations, emails were exchanged, with Bob Arum's side asking what would be the repercussions if their fighter was found dirty.

I think Freddie is trying to get in front of the story which is very smart. He is establishing plausible deniability to protect his future. Not fo nothing but if he were to have multiple fighters who were to be found using it could make younger fighters hesitant to train with him.

I get he doesn't like ariza and want to take him down a peg. But this was very poorly worded. freddie needs to consult an attorney or release statements in the future or he might say something that puts his fighter in a bad position.
