Lets slow down over Sergey Kovalev

Most of you have seen this guy in action for less then 4 minutes. People are talking about Ward and Stevenson need to face him now. Stevenson yes but I wouldn't be so sure he'll be effective. Maybe something is there but we have to wait and see. Lets slow down a bit.

KKKKovalev hits real hard but I dont know if he can beat ward or bhop.

Stevenson boxed well vs Cloud ( i thought cloud would win) but Cloud didn''t bring it like KKK will.

I'm tempted to pick stevenson (I tend to pick pimps over racists) but its a toss up.

I reall don't understand what the problem is. Why aren't you making the same thread about Stevenson, then?

Both Kovalev and Stevenson burst onto the scene in 2013 and established them self as legitimate top 3 LHW fighters...

Kovalev is willing and ready to fight anyone and has a legit strap, that's more then enough reason to be talked about.

And what's wrong with talking about a potential Ward-Kovalev fight? If Ward moves up to 175, he isn't doing it to fight Donovan George and Cornelius white.... He would be moving up to fight Adonis/Kovalev. Period. (What would be the point otherwise?)

Flavor of the month..... Lol yeah he was a flavor of the month 4 times last year then. He didn't just come out of the blue after beating Sillalh, he established himself as a legitimate fighter in January of last year when he fought Campillo.

If it was up to you...... Only 2 or 3 fighters could be talked about on NSB

The difference is stevenson did ko the lineal champ. Now we can agree dwson wasn't the same guy following the ward @168 fight, but beating the lineal champ almost always matters more.

At least Stevenson beat Dawson and Cloud and has the lineal LHW championship.

What's going to be said if Kovalev were to beat Adonis? Hell i can't even fathom the possibility of him defeating Ward..... "Ward has always been overrated. He got KD against Boone!"

so many people here who constantly make excuses for fighters they don't like or want to see do well..... In their eyes, they will NEVER be legit and always be overhyped and "The Next Matthysee".... Just sitting at their computers praying that they lose eventually

Oh, I understand that. Adonis IS the lineal champ. But do you REALLY think that the same threads aren't made about Adonis because he has an imaginary title next to his name? Come on, both guys burst onto the scene at the same time and had HUGE years. Not to mention Campillo was arguably unified champion when he fought Kovalev. Hell Adonis has even been knocked out before
