This is somewhat Rigo's fault but mostly the industry itself fault. Because of the way boxing is run, boxing is not a mainstream sport anymore and regular fans don't give a **** anymore. Since they don't give a ****, they don't learn the sport/ they are uneducated and they only think a brawl is a good fight. They think of boxing as a barbaric event instead of a sport.

I mean, in baseball people loved watching Barry Bonds hit lots of HR's and they also appreciated when Greg Maddux shutout a team 2 to nothing.

Any good fighter could and can sell, if we change the way the sport is run and educate the fans!!

If it's true it's a huge shame as Rigondeaux is a great boxer!!
I just find it sad that many people equate boxing with brawling
and they discount boxing that comprises more of the hit and
don't get hit philosophy. There are two sides to winning that
based on points and then the undisputed knockout.

No one wants to watch his fights, what can you do?

He doesn't deliver the product that HBO is trying to sell. Exciting fights.

I think it's a great move. Start dumping these guys who aren't intriguing and start pitting young, undefeated, up and comers against each other, pay them nothing and have something on every other weekend.

Start tapping into the "prospects" sooner and start grooming the deserving and weed out the disappointing.

I'm sick of having nothing to look forward to and then Rigo comes on and stinks up the joint, and now we have a whole 3 fight cards for 2014.

Changes need to be made on that network, and this is a good start.

Don't get me wrong what he did to Donaire was brilliant; but almost in a way where you're watching a magic trick. You say wow that was pretty good how'd he do that? Then you see it again and you're like **** this magician he's a f@ggot
