  • Ricardo Williams pleads guilty!

2000 Olympics silver medalist Ricardo Williams pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiracy to distribute more than 5 kilos of *******. Williams, who has a pro record of 9-2 with 5 KOs as a jr welterweight, will be sentenced May 5 and is looking at a possible ten year+ prison sentence. Also indicted in the case was Williams' Olympic teammate Marshall Martinez, who made the U.S. boxing team, then quit prior to the games. Martinez, who fought as a lightweight, has a pro record of 7-0-1.

What a waste. I wondered what happened to him..the last I heard was he couldnt stay out of the fridge, and therefore never could make weight. And, that he was one lazy, unmotivated guy..very seldom went to the gym, etc. Hard to believe all that from a former Olympian

what a waste of talent. some people wonder why the anouncers always talk about juan diaz going to college when he fights. this is the reason why. the sport has people like this messing up thier image. we need more boxers like juan diaz and others that contribute to the community.
