HBO and Top Rank won't let Pac go that easily

That's just more power to GBP and Showtime.
TR loses it's best PPV star as well as HBO to their rivals.
Pac might sit down and talk with Mayweather....but no way HBO or TR let Pac just walk away. They will do everything in their power to keep him with them.
Top Rank has a decent young crop... but they're being built up right now.
HBO doesn't have a fighter that could put up huge numbers unless it's very good matchmaking.
Honestly... I see HBO offering Pac a lesser, but lucrative HBO deal like Showtime did with Floyd.
Showtime still behind, but they're catching up to HBO. Canelo being moved up to the PPV stage, early or not, and Floyd has a contract with HBO.

Oh no they wont. I honestly doubt Pac is smart enough to be able to get out of contract. Seems naive and easily tricked but maybe this 68 mil bill is an eye opener. Time will tell

Pacman's new nickname should be "YES MASTER"

He is basically an obedient slave.

In other news, the Miami Heat won't let Lebron James go that easily.

No kidding, OP. They're biggest commercial success, and top name on their roster, and they're gonna easily let him go?

i agree...showtime, haymon & gbp want to control boxing promotions and for that to happen they need to get rid of top rank. luring pac away from top rank would be huge for their agenda and they're using the floyd fight as a bait.

If you look at the direction HBO is going they may let Manny walk after this year. They are shrinking thier boxing budget and are investing in foreign fighters that command lower salaries/pay structures and who have built in ethnic fanbases.

They are getting incredible **** for the buck on kovalev, ggg, ruslan, and stevenson. mikey G. and ward are also relatively cheap and have great upside.

Manny is vital in terms of his prestige and he still sells ppv's. You could argue HBO doesn't want to lose the 2 biggest names in the sport over 2 years-but both are on the decline.

Maybe HBO tries to steal a Canelo or Broner from SHowtime.

Dunno, came back online and people seemed really positive about Pac signing with GBP or just walking away to fight Mayweather in 2015.
Just like when the "source" said a fight was made for this year.

A lot of people took it seriously

But that doesn't mean HBO and TR won't try and entice him on the way out. If he's a FA, what can you really do? The point is, they're not gonna just wave and smile, and let him walk without doing anything.
