If you are going to bring Boone into the equation when discussing this fight than at least know what you are talking about.

Stevenson didn't get "put to sleep". He got caught cold early by a lucky punch but he was not out. He was moving, rolled over on to his hands and knees etc, but could not continue. He completely dominated Boone in a rematch and knocked him out devastatingly, much more so than his own loss. Boone was laying on the canvas for a couple minutes, to the point that the crowd gave him an ovation when he got up to show respect that he was ok as he got HAMMERED. Avenged him a la Lenox Lewis vs Rahman 2. You have to respect a man that get's ko'd and than comes back to ko that same opponent.

Technically, never at a point in either of their 2 fights was Boone "competing" with Adonis, as the first fight was a caught cold fast flash ko type of situ, while the rematch was a one sided beating and vicious ko. Kovalev in his first fight, got knocked down and won a split decision in a competitive match that he got beat up in. If you watched the first Kovalev fight, you will have seen that Boone was able to box competitively with Kovalev and land flush on him numerous times. In the 2nd fight in the first round, the same pattern ensued, Boone was landing flush on Kovalev, landed a hammer shot that made him stumble on to his back leg at a point. He was doing well boxing Kovalev but in the 2nd Round he came out and hit Kovalev with a shot that sent him stumbling back and Boone ******ly got gung-ho, ran in and literally bum rushed Kovalev trying to further hurt and hopefully drop or stop him early. He left himself wide open throwing like an amateur and got caught with a flush shot that hurt him and he didn't recover, Kov hit him with some solid shots and the ref stopped it.

In the Adonis fight, he hurt Boone early with solid shots and Boone literally clammed up for pretty much the rest of the fight. He was not able to land flush on Adonis as Stevenson has underrated head movement and foot work. Stevenson easily outboxed and handled Boone, not showing any shakes off the loss which was honestly just a one shot caught cold KO, just like Adonis did to Dawson. But the fashion in which Adonis fought Boone impressed me. Kovalev is a beast but assuming he will walk over Stevenson is ******. In my opinion, Stevenson has the edge in this fight as they both have ending power, but Stevenson can put together a more complete package with the defence, head movement, footwork, body work, he has an active jab and he does not take too many risks. Kovalev is more of a "get in and get you out of there" fighter, where as Stevenson is more of a "you can't take this for 12 rounds" sort of fighter. More patient with his attack and does not look for the KO. For these reasons i think he would pull out a W in a close matchup. How I won't say until the fight gets signed and I give it more thought but for now I would lean towards a decision or possibly late stoppage via wearing him down, not a one shot KO like he did to Dawson.

Lol dude what's your obsession with him. This doesn't even make sense.... It's clearly personal. Why should people not be able to "believe the hype" in an undefeated pro boxer because he got KOd in the amateurs yet it's okay to "believe the hype" of other guys who got KOd in the pros and amateurs. You do know Adonis Stevenson got knocked out as a pro, right?

I don't even know why I'm responding to this lol

You got it wrong -- Boone dropped Ward and KOd Adonis... But nevermind.

It's relevant because he was 25 1/2 years old in this fight when he got ko'd and his last fight before he turned pro. (El Mas maybe didn't notice this fight just happened in 2008.) You are right Stevenson got knocked out by Boone in 2010, too. But Boone is much better then this Uzbek who ko'd Kovalev.

The Uzbek in our case is Abbos Atoyev (born June 7, 1986) -- best known for winning gold medals in the light heavyweight competition at the 2007 World Championships and at middleweight in 2009 World Championships...

Md- you are correct but more importantly, Kovalev got knocked out with HEADGEAR on. Big difference wearing head gear and no head gear. Albeit the difference between amateur and pro. Plus, the fact that this hype around him is just that. I am for Stevenson in their fight, hopefully it happens.
