The best way to show that you disapprove is not to buy the fight. Floyd is motivated by ppv numbers. If we as a whole refuse to buy these lopsided fights that will motivate him to give us fights that we as a whole will pay for. Until then I guess just be content to complain in vain.

Anytime a fighter, the fighter's camp, or the fighter's handlers don't wana fight a certain person they will always revert to the "he's not popular enough" route. Even if the fighter mentioned is at an all time high in popularity. It's one of the most commonly used excuses to duck someone and it always amazes me that in most cases they will use it to avoid fights that the vast majority of the public is asking for.

perfectly said. he is the bigger draw regardless. mayweather is thinking about all the brits that crossed the pond with hatton. kahn does have a following, god i dont know why but not nearly enough as the hitman. imo floyd will fight anybody that can raise the better payday. after that is secure then they will promo the hell out of it and then at the end of the day we all will buy the ppv.
floyd haters will even buy just to watch him lose. at the end of the day, he still sells the crap out of a fight.

Its also the ability of the opponent to "sell" the fight. I think the Ghost fight made floyd realize if he isn't out there doing his schtick its hard to sell units.

floyd is older. WHere he could do a 24/7 stuff and train like he did for odh/hatton thats significantly harder now. Notice cotto, ghost and canelo had a far bigger presence on the lead up shows.

Floyd needs a guy who can do the "heavy lifting" of selling the fight.

Very honest answer from Roger, but that don't make it right! Lara beats Angulo, and Canelo chooses Angulo. Alvarado beats Rios and Manny chooses Rios. Manny even went after Marquez before Bradley or Ruslan, and they're both are coming off wins. Khan has fought no one @ 147, Danny Garcia KO'd Khan, and beat Matthyesse and now Floyd wants to choose Khan. It's not how it's supposed to be!

And this right here is why boxing will never be a mainstream sport again. Too ***********al and without any structure. It's a damn free for all with everyone fighting who they want rather than who they're suppose to be facing. Just look at the current situation with Floyd.
