Now I understand why Floyd won't deal with Arum

Remember that strange countdown that Arum forced on the P4P champ a few years ago? That's when Arum called Floyd a coward. I guess things came back full circle. But it may also be Haymon behind the scenes saying **** Arum.

It's no secret Haymon and Arum hate each other. Haymon was getting his fighters HBO dates that Arum wanted back in the day. Late 09 when the first Floyd Manny negotiations were going on Floyd had to hire Schaefer to negotiate on his behave. Because Haymom and Arum can't be in the same room together.

I remember that ultimatum from Arum...that was probably the ******est thing ever! Giving a deadline to a fighter he don't even promote, it was hilarious!

Arum is f--- up!! But people have so much hate for Floyd that they refuse to see that. Manny is Arum's puppet.

He didn't call him a coward. In fact, he gave him the benefit of the doubt.

Rather than bash Mayweather for his silence and lack of response to the deadline and for not accepting the fight, Arum was soothing toward his nemesis.

"I am sure that there is a very, very good reason that Floyd Mayweather has for not committing to a fight at this time," Arum said. "I really, truly believe that. Now I am speculating, but one of the reasons could be the uncertainly regarding [uncle and trainer] Roger Mayweather. Roger Mayweather is scheduled before a court in Nevada regarding criminal charges. I know how Manny would feel if he had to go into a fight like this without the services of Freddie Roach."

It was from their 2006 break up.

And yeah that countdown clock was pathetic, given the fact that Clottey had already came out months prior saying he was chosen by Bob Arum to be Pacquiao's next opponent on March 2010. Similarly, a month prior to the Clottey fight, Margarito had an interview where he said he was promised to fight Pacquiao in November 2010 by Arum. So according to the words of two TR fighters, Pacquiao was all booked for 2010 and it did not seem like Aum had any intentions of making a fight with Mayweather and was only using Mayweather's name as a selling point for Pacquiao vs Clottey.

Wonder when these American Mayweather haters will start seeing the writing on the wall when it comes to who's really holding up this fight. To be honest if I was Floyd, Pacroid would never get a shot since he went along with Rob Arum in trashing Floyd's name in the media. Hell Pacroid doesn't deserve a big payday in my opinion. I say offer his tax owing azz $2-3 million and make him drain himself to 145lbs before his sign the contract. But seriously the guy isn't worth fighting, even if they fought years ago Pacroid would have been exposed cause he wouldn't been able to juice like he'd done in past fights. They guy is just plum ****** to think he's on the same level as Floyd.

The countdown thing was after the Clottey fight. And the whole point of the countdown was that it was the end of the exclusivity period he agreed with Ross Greenburg.
