    LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - Following a rib injury suffered in training, former three-division world champion Abner Mares has been forced to withdraw from his Saturday, Feb. 15 rematch with WBC Featherweight Champion Jhonny Gonzalez, causing a postponement of the entire SHOWTIMEŽ televised event at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

        Mares should just drop back down to 122. He's only had a couple fights there, there's some big fights down there for him.

          I wouldn't say that. Mares is a warrior. He's 28 years old and he's already a decorated, proven fighter. Mares is one of the few throwback fighters around today.

                  Gonzalez is way to big for little Mares...little guy is a warrior but he's still just a little guy who is now starting to break down at 28

                    Please man.. it's all about what have you done lately, an lately Mares has been getting KO'ed and hurt in training trying to fight at 126 where he doesn't belong
