^^^ Exactly what I'm thinking... How do you compare a warrior like Miguel to Hamed? When Cotto lost he came back won world titles, win big fights & even when he lost always put on a good preformence When hammed lost he simply diapered.Comment

Good fighter, was a legit feather kingpin in his day....
Obviously an over-the-top personality, but he was very entertaining....
I dont think he is the greatest fighter from the lighter weights,,,Comment

Entertaining, highly skilled, respected resume...isnt this enough? He is not the best "light boxer"Comment

Didn't both happen? Manny Steward definitely said that they 'avoided' Marquez for a number if years.
But I also remember something about JMM eventually being offered the fight and Nacho turning it down, with JMM fighting (and losing to) Norwood instead. I'm not sure about this part though.Comment

Doesn't actually say they turned a fight down though? Doesn't say JMM wanted the fight from what I can see there. Maybe I missed that part..
But I believe an offer of around half a million was offered to JMM in 2000 for the fight but he turned it down.
For the record, I'm not saying Hamed would have beat JMM as his style would have given him problems.Comment
