I don't think so. I think he would have to establish himself as a SMW cause that's where he would be fighting Ward.

I would imagine venue, referee and financial split would be issues of contention. At this point Ward could dictate all those, whereas in a year's time Golovkin could be in the driving seat.

The way his popularity is growing, I'd say so.

Funny how times change. Broner or Mayweather "I want to see these guys challenge themselves." With GGG it's OK to avoid threats. GGG is already bringing in 1.5 million views on HBO. He has the leverage to at least be on par with Ward. His next fight should be headlining a HBO PPV. But does that happen? Hell no. Instead he goes overseas to face some no name bum that HBO's not even covering. How does that get you on par with Ward?
