These recent pullouts can only mean that Adam Booth took over as his trainer after the Kovalev fight.

There's no doubt the amount of times the injury card is being played has rocketed this last few years. It's a shame because it blurs when legit or not.

They need to tighten up on the contracts for penalties for cancelling even due to injury. Plus be forced to reveal what health/doctors analysis they have had and it's conclusion.

Fight dates are becoming pointless otherwise.

It's no secret that Cleverly has fell out of love with the sport. His bubble has been popped and I think he needs a while away from the sport and hopefully rekindle some more of that passion.

Good move, really. It was a ridiculous comeback fight. He needs a couple of tune-ups, then go for a Bellew rematch. That's where the £££ is for him.

It must suck to be a British Boxing fan right now.

Cleverly - fake injury, bail on fight
David Haye - fake injury, bail on fight
Amir Khan - afraid of Devon Alexander. prefers to pray for big fights in lieu of earning them
Ricky Burns - gets ass kicked, offers immediate rematch - weasels out of it

Hell even Carl Froch who has carried on his career as if he were the Anti-Brit up until recently is now afraid of some ginger ****.

                    He obviously got smart

Cleverly and /or his people wised up and pulled the plug on this mismatch. Junior Makabu is a seriously bad dude and he certainly would have handed Cleverly a 2nd straight stoppage loss. Don't know why it was signed in the 1st place.

If Cleverly knew that he did not want to take the fight then he should not have signed the contract and all of these undisclosed injuries are starting to get ridiculous he either needs to retire or sign a fight contract and actually honor instead of constantly pulling out and wasting everyone's time.
