Rising manager Egis Klimas spoke to BoxingScene.com about the diamond in his boxing stable, two-time Olympic gold medal winner Vasyl Lomachenko (1-0, 1KO). The boxer will go for a world title in only his second pro fight, when he challenges WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido on March 1.

- Vasyl Lomachenko is the ***el of your stable and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. He debuted with an eye-catching win of Jose Ramirez in October. Has he exceeded your expectations, or equaled them?

- He is so special. The plan was to box with Ramirez, to go the distance with him in the first pro fight, maybe all ten rounds to show Vasyl’s skills and abilities. But that’s boxing. He threw a punch – it was natural – his opponent went down and out. For me, personally, it was a much more interesting turn of events.

Damn you gotta praise the guts of this man, second pro fight and heis fighting a warrior like Salido!
If he beats him he will be penning himself down in the history book of possibly the only pro fighter to win a world title in his second fight.

I don't think this is a straight forward fight for him though, he's going to have to show alot of heart and maintain the focus and technique for every round of the fight to beat Salido and that's something we've never seen him do yet.

Ha ha ha . Sounds like the words ducknaire said before he got schooled . Rigo takes this kid to shool and this guy knows it , but then he critics rigos style with the only purpose of not fighting him . Ducknaires way .
Rigo had always fought at batam and super batam , having WBA , wbo and ring magazine at 122 , Loma should fight him at this weight class . Who is the champ ? Or at least at a catch weight of 124 . Rigo goes up 2 and Loma comes down 2 . Rigo in his last fight came at 125 fight night and loma at 129 . So , what's the problem of Loma making 2 pounds less ? Anyways , rigo is the king at 122 and Loma has to still beat salido..... Watch out .

Rigo scares every fighter . Wouldn't Loma want to make history by beating a two times Olimpic gold medalist , two times world amateur champ , WBA , wbo and ring magazine champ? ?? Is Loma a boxer or a movie start ? To be the best , beat the best . This is boxing , not a theater . I'm tired of all the excuses not to fight rigo : just ducking .

I put this question to anyone and everyone - if Lomachenko was to theoretically win the title v Salido and immediately beat Rigo in the 3rd fight, how would you rank him? Immediately and as a start point of a potentially ATG career?
