But to make this fight, cotto should give him the second entrance. Martinez clearly has his ego that needs stroked.
difference is..manny and floyd were p4p#1 when they fought cotto and were not 1-2 in their last 3 fights

Wow. Why don't you tell your idol to fight Martinez then? SM is also desperate for the big money Mayweather fight. Floyd said no.

What does that have to do with anything - Top billing always goes to the men of money.

DLH wasn't p4p anything when he fought Mayweather, Pac and barely on the list when he fought Hopkins

But them three knew the deal - DLH makes the calls - you want that paycheck - you play ball.

I'm all for Martinez to be introduced second - I love Sergio - after Cotto, he's my favorite fighter - but at the end of the day, it will be Cotto's name carrying this promotion. It is Cotto who holds the records for MSG sell out. It's Cotto who's been apart of massive PPVs, both as a headliner and a marquee B-side - it's Cotto's "story" that will drive the narrative of the fight, being the first PR to win titles in 4 divisions, his ability to rise from shortcomings to keep fighting.

Martinez is a solid B-guy - just like he was against Chavez. Let's not kid ourselves - Cotto can go make millions (like he pulled 3M for Rodriguez) against anyone. He doesn't need Martinez at all when it comes down to money.

And Team Martinez honestly just sounds suspect. It's like every other day - they're attempting to make a headline and all Team Cotto has said is that they want to fight Martinez - get on with the show

Canelo's team may be holding out as long as possible to see if the Cotto/Martinez fight is signed

                Great Post Buddy!

About the bold, I just think they have doubts of Martinez beating Cotto, let alone winning in impressive fashion. Cotto will beat him up and they prefer for Sergio to finish his career fighting 2 or 3 stiffs in Argentina, where he can make about a Mill a Mill and a half per fight!

Nobody wants to see Rubio vs Sergio bro. And IMO GGG beats those guys. Murray scared, Quillin hiding behind GB and Showtime. Nothing else left.
