It'll be something along the lines of that. No matter who he fights, after he wins theres some excuse after. Nevermind that Ortiz was coming off FOTY and had a belt, he's demoted to a "cross eyed armadillo" Nevermind that Cotto was coming off 3 TKO victories and avenged his loss to Margarito. He'ss demoted to "bloated" Nevermind Guerrero was Floyds mandatory and EVERYONE and their mother was saying he was ducking the Ghost after news surfaced that he'd be fighting Alexander instead, he's demoted to "featherfisted", on top of that he didnt look to "featherfisted when he made Berto look like he had a damn allergic reaction. BUT I DIGRESS.

He should fight whoever he wants and whoever makes the most money because the excuses will follow after anyway, might as well get a big check from it.
like I said its sad its between khan/maidana. But maidana is definitely the better of the two.

    Ortiz bum.
Maidanas left overs, after lost to 140 pound Josesito!!! LOL "he beat berto doe"

Guerrero bum "he beat BERTO DOE" Wheres JSK shot he beat berto too

Cotto past his prime, lost to trout immediately after floyde beat him

your right tho, it is what it is. The fans cant tell him who to fight, up to him

Maidana vs Mayweather is a no doubt more deserving fite based on Maidana's 147 lbs run, but in those fites he hasnt fought a fiter with good movement. A good fiter with movement can still outpoint him that is if they can absorb his power. Guerrero and Porter are an example. Alexander rematch would be sweet too, but the result of all the mentioned names will be same as alexander's first fite with maidana.

He should reflect on the Khan loss too.

Where did he exactly "warn" Mayweather again? Anyhow, I would rather see Maidana get the shot over Khan. At least I'll get my money's worth because I am positive Maidana will try and go all out.

          Dafuq? LMAOOO?

Ortiz is a bum, then how DF was he champion and riding a 5 fight winning streak? and so what he lost to Josesito. What happens to these dudes after is none of FMJ's business.

Cotto past prime? Lol Floyd is 36. What is he right in the middle of his?

I learned a long time ago not to reason with FMJ haters. He's got you guys marketed so well its crazy. Enjoy boxing 2014

When has Khan showed he isn't willing to go all out himself?

Does anybody on here think Maidana has a actual shot against Mayweather?

              Seriously?

People get so gassed on this board.

It really sucks Khan and Maidana are the 2 options. Maidana deserves it more, but he isn't going to be that competitive with Floyd.

Khan will do the same thing Canelo did, try to come up with some sort of "smart" gameplan that Virgil will design but one that Khan won't be able to execute. I keep paying for these guys to change their styles with Mayweather and end up looking like crap.

We know for a fact Maidana will go balls to the wall and jump on Mayweather with punches. Maidana won't try to outsmart or outbox Mayweather, him and Robert know damn well that won't happen. Khan has already stated he is just as fast and that he can box as well... I can see what will happen from a mile away.

When I say Marketed, I mean hating and discrediting a man you dont know. You know who he is, and you spread his name, even when you dont know it. No one thinks hes a God, he's simply the best of his era. He's brash. He's disrespectful. He's ****y, but he's the best. Theres no one even close to him in the sport right now, in any division. He cant be beat, not from anyone in this era anyway
