Comments Thread For: Maidana Reflects on Alexander Loss, Warns Mayweather

WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana (35-3, 31KOs) issued a minor warning to the pound-for-pound king. Maidana was approached with a question regarding whether or not he was capable of beating WBC champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (45-0, 26KOs). Maidana is one the fighters being considered for Mayweather's return on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Honestly those same feelings are going to resurface against may weather. Most will buy this fight on hope that he can hurt one of the best defensive fighters of all time with most likely a looping punch. the only entertainment will be mayweather precise punching on display.

Mayweather isn't invincible but MM is not the one to show us that. He's too slow has defensive liabilities and his conditioning isn't the best. Floyd 11-1 or 10-2.

Maidana was able to get to Broner fairly easily. He won't be able to do that with Mayweather. He has not learned that much since Alexander gave him a boxing lesson. Mayweather's defense is levels above Broner's and his boxing skills make Alexander look like an amateur. Anything can happen in boxing and Mayweather is not invincible, but he is hands down the better boxer and should win easily if the fight were to take place.

maidana's slow when he's gassed and loading up on huge punches but he's not carl froch or brandon rios slow. he's much quicker on the trigger than advertised and has a very sneaky counter right hand.

                Broner is no Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather would beat the snot out of Maidana easily. Maidana has never fought anyone like Mayweather.

Mayweather would UD Maidana, would be a good fight but Floyd would be too fast for him

                    Maidana is not "slow"

People saying floyd beats him easy are the same ones saying Broner was gonna beat him
