Comments Thread For: Danny Williams Fights On, Eyes Andrzej Wawrzyk on 2/1

British veteran Danny Williams (45-20, 34KOs) is planning to fight on with his career. The man who once scored a TKO victory over Mike Tyson, is likely going to return on February 1st in Opole, Poland against once-beaten Pole Andrzej Wawrzyk (27-1, 13 KOs). On December 30th, Williams lost a split decision to career journeyman Tomas Mrazek (8-46), and Williams has lost his last ten out of eleven contests. Wawrzyk returns after taking a serious pounding in a third round TKO loss to ten WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin last may in Russia.

I hope not. Wilder needs to step up higher than fighting Williams. I read that Williams said that he fights on because it pays better than most jobs, and I'm not sure that he would be able to fight on if Wilder does to him what he is expected to do.
