Manny's nationality didn't play into it but him being Asian most surely did.

Just like Floyd associated Manny with sushi cause he Asian. Kovalev made the reference to Stevenson and the monkey cause he is black. Throughout history many racists have said black people came from monkeys and apes.

The thing is though you can't really compare Floyd saying "cook him like sushi" even though I thought he said "make him cook me some sushi" to Manny saying to Floyd "cook him like fried chicken" because to "MY" knowledge people throughout history haven't used or viewed any people let alone Asians eating sushi as a negative thing.

All races have used and associated black people with eating fried chicken as something negative.

Even though there is nothing wrong with any race of people eating fried chicken. Some people only view it as negative when it pertains to black people even though all races of people eat it.

Hence when Tiger Woods won the Masters Fuzzy Zeller said about the champions dinner "hope he doesn't serve fried chicken and collard greens" or something like that. Zeller only mentioned fried chicken because Tiger Woods is looks more black than anything else he is mixed with. Funny thing is Tiger Woods doesn't even consider himself just black.
You most definitely can compare them. In fact, you just did.

Really, all races have associated black people with eating fried chick as something negative? Floyd was trying to associate Manny with eating rice, sushi, cats and dogs as something negative. I've definitely heard racist/stereotypical comments towards asians as "rice eaters," "cat and dog eaters," etc. That has as long a history, if not much longer, as black people and fried chicken references. The truth is, they're only negative if meant to be negative. The consumption of food is neutral.

So your support is something that some golfer said about a 1/2 black golfer? That was just a putrid example. Like I said, any comment like this could be negative and hurtful if intended that way. Floyd intended it to be hurtful. Everyone keeps defending the sushi comment because it's the easiest to defend. Please defend the "yellow chump" in reference to floyd's perception of Manny's skin color. Who even says that? Being called "yellow" is much more offensive than being called "black." Also, please try and justify the implication that Manny consumes cats and dogs, or has some sort of inclination or preference for those types of cuisine.

Yes all races have done that. I didn't say all people of every race. Don't make something out to be there when its not. No need for that. Explain how Floyd was trying to say Manny eating or making him sushi as a negative. When has eating sushi ever had a negative connotation attached to it?

I have heard the cats and dogs eaters thing myself. Didn't Manny say his father fried his dog and ate it? I don't remember Floyd saying anything about Manny eating cats and dogs. If Floyd did say that there is no justification for it.

Why is being called yellow more offensive than being called black? Thing is black people don't have a problem with being called black, just as I personally have never heard a white person having a problem with being called a white. The context of its used does matter. I can see how Floyd calling him a "yellow chump" is out of line to most people.

I never said Floyd didn't intend for it to be hurtful. My person opinion I don't think he meant it to be racially hurtful. I took it as being that Manny is Asian he is saying I'm gonna beat Manny so bad he is going to be my b!t#^ and I'm a make him cook me some sushi. Which is ignorant since Manny is Filipino and sushi is more of a Japanese dish. Seemed more to me like the same type s#!t a kid would say along the lines "ah ha I got on Jordan's and you got on some Kwame Brown's" That sushi s#!t to me was not that serious because it doesn't have a negative racial connotation associated with Asian people to it. Now take that same line and replace sushi with cat or dog now I would have a major problem with that.

he didn't say that. If you feel it is, so be it. If someone said that to Floyd, i'd imagine he'd address it.
