Ironically Shumenov is probably B'Hops next opponent.

As I've understood it (not having had access to the complete story) the racist allegations / interviews that have been brought up followed in the wake of some criticism Kovalev made of Shumenov for essentially sitting on his belt.

Those around Kovalev attribute these Shumenov supporters with both deliberately putting a racist slant on his comments and propagating them. I've no idea what the truth is on this matter tho.

I was kinda drawing a parallel - what may have been accepted views and values in the US a century ago (prior to WWI) regarding Blacks have commonalities with the accepted norms in large swathes of Russian society today.

In general tho, I absolutely agree - Kovalev ought to learn and conform to the cultural norms of the place he's chosen to build his career in, even to the extent of adjusting his language while speaking his mother tongue - such is the price of popularity.

Gtfoh kid. It was created by African Americans! & If its not an accepted term, why would it still be used to this day? My great uncle was a Tuskegee Airman and still used the word until his death when he went on speaking ventures across the country. The point I was making was the fact negro, both in english and spanish is still used today. Your ignorant in the fact that its not accepted.........
