I could see Lara,Rigondeaux and Gamboa having a great year in 2014. If Lara gets that Canelo fight this year and beats him. Gamboa vs Garcia is a solid match up also if Gamboa beats Mikey. Rigondeaux contract with TR expires in July 2014. If he signs with GBP he can get fights with Mares/Gonzalez winner or Santa Cruz.

If Lara gets a Canelo fight and Gamboa beats Mikey no doubt there will be a rebolution.

El Maja fights in a couple of weeks. I'd love to see him go places. As we've discussed before, they need to start promoting these guys in Miami. As awareness grows, so will the interest. Everyone loves a winner.

January 18th at the Jai-Alai casino. Not too far from where I live, I'm definitely there.

It's being promoted on local radio... people here are getting a buzz for local fighters. It's a good start I guess...

Dont leave out Abril who is effective and Yoan Pablo Hernandez who has been very dominant.

Even Luis Franco a huge underdog got a draw against Javier Fortuna who had all the hype

The only things that sets them back is the politics and not enough ethnic following, but the skills are there

Cubans will never take over but they'll always have a couple dominant fighters in the pro ranks. It's politics which hold them back, if that changes, they'll be like Mexico.

its their amateur style that is painful to watch on television that is holding them back.
