    What next for Barthelemy?

I think a Mendez rematch would produce the same result. I wouldn't mind Arash Usmanee getting another shot at Barthelemy if he wins his fight next week on Friday night fights. Usmanee gave both Bathelemy and Mendez close fights last year. Or maybe a fight with Mikey Garcia/Burgos winner. What do you guys want to see?

Keep testing himself against good competition he has that bug that is going around with Cuban fighters that seem to be get lazy when they see competition as lesser . But really step it up when they think the opponent is dangerous.

Those are his most realistic options unless he has some other mandatory challenger first. I'd prefer to see a Usmanee rematch sooner than later. And if he wins then maybe fight the winner of Garcia Burgos.
130 is pretty deep I wouldn't mind seeing him face uchiyama, Miura, Berchelt, Fortuna, Tomilson, Ponce, or even Cherry. Felix Jr doesn't seem to far off from a title fight either. Im not sure who Barthelemy is promoted by but it looks like he has some good options.

He is still alittle raw to be in there with the best like mikey but another year of good competition, and him and mikey becomes a big fight

first i would rematch mendez to clear any doubt

        then roman martinez

Maybe one other fight, but then look for gamboa or mikey

I'd like Usmanee next for Barthelemy, then a guy like Rocky Martinez or Javier Fortuna or one of the japanese title holders on a HBO ppv undercard or boxing after dark, then chase after Mikey or Gamboa at 135 or maybe Terence Crawford. I don't see Mikey Garcia sticking around 130 for long, just not enough big name fights to keep him around i think.
