Martin Murray's 3rd shot for a world title plus possible fight with GGG

Following impressive performances in world title fights against Felix Sturm and one of the pound for pound best in Sergio Martinez. Martin has been awarded another shot at the belt recently vacated by GGG. Many believe Martin was unlucky to come away with a draw against Sturm and a loss against Martinez despite knocking down the Argentine Champion 2ce with only 1 being scored as such but fighting in an opponents back yard is always a risky business.

He now has an opportunity to fight Jarrod Fletcher for the WBA belt after GGG was promoted to super champion by the governing body. If Martin comes through this fight there is talk of a unification rematch with Sturm and then a fight with GGG. Who do you fancy in a Sturm rematch, with Sturm coming of a dominant performance against Darren Barker and what chance do you give to Martin Murray if he ever gets in the ring with a destroyer like GGG is being sold to be.

I captured the press conference and an interview with Richard Poxon and Martin himself to talk about the current situation

The WBA rejected the request to have a super champion. Martin is keeping his interim champion status.

Just seen the news regarding the WBA rejecting the super status sucks to be Martin Murray he really cant get a fair crack.

I disagree with Murray ducking GGG though. Golovkin already had a fight lined up Murray is fighting on the under card in Monte Carlo. Richard Poxon states in the interview it would be an easier fight to make than Martinez or Quillin as they fight primarily in the U.S and Golovkin is willing to fight in Europe where Martin has no Visa issues.

If Martin goes through Fletcher then i would like to see him fighting Sturm and GGG in his next 2 or 3 fights but who knows.

Murray don't want none with Lord G.

And he looks like a white, Maidana.

Murray has been offered the fight on a few occasions and has backed off, everytime..

He is def ducking GGG.. Murray says he wants to wait to make the fight bigger, but its already as big as its going to get.. Murray already fought sturm and serg, which are the only 2 fights that can raise his profile,, fighting fletcher does nothing to elevate him...
His promoter wanted the fight, aimed for the feb date, ggg was down for the fight, the only one that wasnt was murray.. He is keeping his interm title hostage and milking it for all its worth

Not true. According to k2 promotions Golovkin had offered Murray the fight in Monte Carlo, Monaco as Murray is Golovkin's mandatory and Murray refused so they looked for another opponent and agreed with Osumanu Adama.

Here is a quote from K2 promotions about Golovkin's Monte Carlo, Monaco feb 1st 2014 fight -

"Murray does not want to box Golovkin and for a long time he's refused to do so." Hermann said. "Gennady primarily wanted to go against Murray, and we were glad that the WBA ordered this fight. Unfortunately, Murray refuses to go against Golovkin. We changed our plan and we're negotiating with another opponent."

He's def making the fight bigger by almost losing to some bum and then fighter Fletcher on the guy he's ducking undercard. Why is it all the guys that say theyre building up the fight cant even headline a show? Its obvious, they're waiting for Golovkin to get really big meanwhile they look for those easy/vacant title shots

Murray kept his interim title after losing to sergio on the condition that he fight Golovkin next, but nope, Golovkins undercard it is. Is there an even more embarrassing duck? Avoid the guy but fight on his stay busy undercard? Sackless stuff

Yes, of course. It makes sense. Lots of sense. Have you got more of these?

You keep on repeating that, but I've never heard the WBA say that.
