Comments Thread For: Felix Alvarado: I Feel Did Enough To Beat Kazuto Ioka

Felix Alvarado (18-1, 15KOs) believes that he did enough to win the New Year's Eve battle with WBC junior flyweight champion Kazuto Ioka (14-0, (KOs), which took place in Osaka, Japan. After twelve rounds, the scores were 119-109, 119-109, 115-113 in favor of the champion. Alvarado made it a war and had his moments, but the three judges did not feel he did enough to take the title from the hometown champion.

Sorry Alvarado but you've got to be kidding me. Ioka gave you a boxing lesson. He answered every question you posed and finished off on top in very exchange by landing cleaner more accurate punches. In fact at the end of the fight Ioka could have performed in a J-pop boy band concert he was looking that pretty (no ****), can't say the same for Felix.

When a guy uses those words that they feel or think they "did enough" you know even if they think they did that they aren't even sure about it. IMO.

Alvarado showed a good account of himself and maybe won a few more rounds than the two judges had it wide for Ioka, but the fight wasn't that close. There were many competitive rounds and Alvarado was clearly throwing more punches but he missed a lot and was getting countered with relative ease.
