    Betting on boxing

    Firstly i'm pretty new here.

I think this is a very good forum
A friend introduced me to it. He gets most of his predictions right.

He knows what he's on about HOWEVER.

Do you ever second guess yourself. and think 'Well, **** y'know..actually, i've changed my mind on that fight outcome now'

    it's the worse feeling ever.

especially when betting on fights. do you just go with your gut instinct, place the bet and leave it

I always choose my picks after a thought out process. If I have a gut feeling about who I think will win and the analysis adds up, it's a sure bet. I look at a couple of things heading into a fight... last 5 opponents (quality) and how they beat them. Then I compare both... take a look at a few highlights and it's enough for me to know who will have the harder time of the two.

I was just doing this for Bute/Pascal and the choice was very clear, Bute should win via a comfortable UD.

Same thing happened to me the night before Broner/Maidana. I came to a point where I realized, Broner is in a lot of trouble tomorrow night.

There's been a few fights, where i've known who is going to win. And instead of going with gut instinct, i've hesitated. And either gone with the opposite due to listening to others or i haven't placed the bet at all. Done doing that

Going with gut instinct all the time now.

A pal of mine made a mint on Pacquiao vs Bradley. Still gloats to this day.

I like betting on boxing. I usually bet big if i really think my fighter will win the fight. If I have any doubts I wont bet to much on that fight. You gotta bet with your gut instinct and your brains never with your heart. Thats how these dudes lose their money to me Lol.

Anybody can pick a winner. But can they pick winners with money on it and I don't mean 3 bucks to make 6 bucks. When you got thousands on a fight, you don't second guess yourself or get nervous because you've done so much work that you feel completely confident you made the right choice.

There are many many more components than gut instinct. Honestly, its about 1 of 30 different tools used in deducing a winner. If your getting stuck on gut instinct, then you need to leave the building before your bank roll does.

******** on boxing is a full time job. If your not putting in several hours in research per bout, your losing far more than your winning.

Let me put it this way, if your losing anything more than 20% of the time, retire quickly.

I put a few quid on Maidana knocking out Broner in round 9 i think it was (where he got dropped) almost made a killing. Before the fight, i started to think Broner might win by Decision. Realised my original thought was closer after the fight started.
