Ring Magazine is wrong all the time. They had Broner in the top 5 pfp when he had done nothing to be ranked that high. I think Sturm is popular in Germany and maybe that is why he gets title shots so often. He clearly is not the 2nd best middleweight in the world and he gets more than his share of wins in Germany that he did not deserve.

Sturm's nothing special, but he's a decent fighter
and for the most part his fights are fun to watch
for those reasons he manages to stay a stalwart in his division
and he just sparked Barker for a title, so why wouldn't he be relevant?
plus Bozz is here to drive the 1 man bandwagon for him

Yea I agree that ring magazine is a joke.

Ring magazine did not even have Rigo as a choice for their fans fighter of the year and they had 9 choices.

Rigo beat donaire , who won the award in 2012. Absolutely ridiculous.

The Murray fight wasn't a gift. Sturm's capable of beating the fighters who hold belts, that's why he's relevant.

Close fight, but it's strange how people make out as if he Murray was robbed. The Macklin fight was much closer, that one i can understand why people say he was robbed.

Was Sturm mandatory for Barker? if he was it's abit strange because losing to Soliman, and beating a bum shouldn't put you in a mandatory spot.

Agree, Murray was lucky to get a draw, Mack was shortchanged.

Soliman was a no contest since he pissed dirty
